ATI 3850 - chipset problems?

Hello there,

I'd like to give my older socket 939 AGP system a boost by upgrading to a 3850.

My motherboard uses the VIA K8T800 Pro chipset and I'm sure that I read somewhere previously that ATI cards had problems running on boards with VIA chipsets.

I'd be grateful if anyone could give some advice before I part with my hard earned pennies.
