Does anyone know if there is an equivalent 3d alternative to nvidia 3d vision for ati cards?

I think ATI's Eyefinity might be capable of something similar, but really for 3d you want nvidia. What's putting you off?

The newest ATI 6000 series cards do now have the capability to provide a 3D experience, altho I've forgotten what provisions AMD have made since I last the launch reviews. Except that it is not AMD providing it directly, but third parties.

Yes, but general consensus is "nvidia have been doing this for ages, let's go with them" for the minute.

Not had my ATI 5870 for very long and don't really fancy shelling out for an nvidia card at this moment in time, oh well, thanks for replies.

Just checked- the 6 series have something called HD3D, but not convinced you're ever gonna get it on the 5870.
