i'm plagued with random graphics card crashes that seem to be related to some peculiar combination of hardware i have plus ATI drivers :(

it is a q6600 rig with a 650w corsair psu and asus p5q pro mobo

i'm looking for advice on which NVIDIA card to replace my old ati4850

not looking to spend more than £50-75 nor have to upgrade PSU to run the new graphics card - just something with hopefully more oomph than the current card and without the random ATI graphics driver crashes

i'm out of the loop with gpu knowledge as the last card i bought was the 4850 about 5 years ago!

cheers for any recommendations

Firstly, I would check the temps of the card to see if that is a possible cause of the crashing (could need a clean). The other thing you could do (if you're content with the speed of the 4850), is to try using something like DDU to remove the drivers and start afresh. That could well be the answer. :)
