ATI 4850 sound and noise...

Ok, looking to get a new gfx card and I will be using a 32" 1080p tv as a monitor so I am looking at this ATI card.

Is the sound any good? also I would like one that as quiet as possible.

I currently have a 8800 GTS 512 and its silent with the stock cooler.

I currently use a creative extreme music.

It would be used for the odd game, music etc.

I wouldn't inflict Creative drivers on my mother-in-law .... no actually I would lol!

The 4850 has no influence on your sound, only grahics. All it can do is let you output sound through the HDMI via the special ATI dongle.

the sound is ok but nothing special. i have my 4850 connected to the wife's sony 40" tv
