Ati 4870 or 5770 which one

In these benchmarking tests the 5770 pretty much holds its own or beats the GTX260 which was considered an equal to the 4870 which unfortunately is not in this test. Lower power usage and cooler temps and better overclocking. And I've just bought the Sapphire 5770 vapor-x.:D

Oh and just look what two in crossfire achieve compared to 5850\5870 cards.

It's not just about DirectX 11 though.

5770 runs cooler and quieter. Unless you can get the 4870 for an absolute steal, get the 5770.

This basically should sum it all up for you, but even if you could get a 4870 on the cheap, i would still get a 5770 for the fact it has DX 11 support.
 
Yep pretty much what i thought the 5770 has less bandwidth but runs cooler and uses less power.

5770 it is then thanks for the replies.
