I bought a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 2048MB to replace my 2 Sli 8800 GTX's (wanted to go back to a single card solution in the machine).

Anyway I haven't used ATI for many years and so far I've installed all the drivers from the CD that came with it. I see there are new ones available on ATI's site. Here's the questions :

1) Do I need to download all parts inc. the centre or just the drivers
2) Is it best to uninstall the present drivers (if so which ones) or will the setup on the new drivers delete old ones and update.

Any others tips for a new ATI user ? I've had a quick look at the control centre and can't even find the part that allows you to adjust AA settings etc.

Cheers

I imagine you would be fine using the full centre.

I have had a number of problems using 4870x2 drivers and found that if possible, you could avoid a lot of hassle if you do a fresh install before installing the drivers.

Regarding the AA go to catalyst control centre/3D settings.
I think it's best set to edge-detect (not sure of that though)
