Thinking of parting with some hard earned cash for this monster! At the moment I am running a Q6000 @ 3.2GHz on a P35 DS4 mobo, DDR2 @ 1066MHz, one HDD (SATAII) 2 DVD R/W's, 6 Noctua 1200rpm case fans for my Stacker 830 case and a Xonar DX. I have a Corsair HX620W PSU, what I need to know is will my PSU be sufficient?

Cheers,

Jonnygrunge.

With a QX9650, 8GB of (800Mhz) RAM, 7 HDDs, X48, 6 fans and just the 1 dvdr/w I pull less than 500W from the wall while gaming with my 4870x2, I imagine an hx620 should be enough if the 12V has enough juice (I have a TX750 myself but it's hardly heavily loaded!)

I'm only running a dual core E6600 @3.2Ghz, but have 4 hard drives on an Enermax 625W and it runs fine power wise.

It is mate, I am running same PSU with a 4870x2.
[email protected], 4 gig ram overclocked, 6x120mm fans, P5E board, SB X-Fi, 18w pump, 2x320 gig drives in raid 0, DVD-RW, plus a 250gig external HD and my G25 FF wheel.
So me thinks you should have no issues, very good PSU really.

I wouldn't we're almost in 2009 and it won't be long till the new R800 cars come.
