Well any make will do, if you want a quiet card, get the Vapour X ones from Sapphire. Asus I believe can do overvolting for overclocking. Get a 1gb one, it will be more future proof. Why the 4870? A 5770 can perform a tad better in a few games, a 4890 will perform even better.

Sorry been out of the gfx card upgrade circle for many years 
i will take a look at the 5770 just want more bang for little money for lockon flight sim i play and the game favours the ati cards more than the nvidia.

Oh btw, regarding the Sapphire Vapor-X - must be too tired, not thinking straight. It looks good imo but in essence you're paying a little extra for a card that doesn't require the lower noise / better cooling since 5770's hardly need extra special cooling anyway, they run very cool as standard. Therefore, I'd only consider the Sapphire card mainly for it's cosmetic appeal. It may overclock well though I doubt as well as the Asus or HIS.
You won't go wrong with any of the cards shown there. Have a look at the warranty as well. The big advantage with the Asus card is that you get 3 years warranty and you should hit some nice clocks, if that sort of thing appeals to you.
