Hi.
I currently have a hd4890 1gb xxx, but my friend is selling his Sapphire 5750 1gb.
I want dx11 for newer games coming out now and soon, but i dont have money to drop on anything big.
If i bought this off him id gain £10 by pawning my current one in.

Is it worth swapping/is it better/ will it suit my needs more?

And more importantly, mine plays Crysis Warhead on full fine, will this one or is it a lesser card?

Ive been out of the gpu world for too long, the new number system confuses me.

Cheers.

Ok, cheers guys. Any one care to explain the numbers now or should i google?
What im making out is 1st number is now the series, then the 2nd number is how good the chip set is e.g. best performers from a batch get 9, worst get 4, then the 3rd number is how bad it is in that category, e.g. you could be lucky and get a *650 that is better then an *700, but its a gamble, and the 4th number, the '0' is to make it look nice?

And so this is why a top 4900 is better then a lesser end numbered 5700.

5750 is well below 4890 spec, dx11 reslly is a gimmick for now and a 5750 wont play future games at dx 11 anyway, sell your 4890 on ebay they sell really well actually then buy a used 5850 for a 100 pound is your best bet.

The lowest card from the 5 series that surpasses the HD4890 is the HD5830 but you wouldn't want one of those as they are power hungry failed HD5870 cards downclocked, or something. HD5770 is supposed to be around the HD4870 level so I'd imagine HD5750 would be around the HD4850 level, albeit with lower power draw. The HD57xx series aren't really powerful enough to use DX11 features.
