hi all i have an ati 4890 graphics card motherboard is a asus m4a78lt-mle power supply is 750 will this be good enough to play battlefield 3 any info would be greatfull

Maybe. Probably. Dont know. The game isn't out yet.

If DICE don't make the game scaleable to slightly older cards then it could hurt sales figures.

I really doubt a 4890 would cut it on high settings though.

Probably of more importance is what CPU you have as we know already that BC2 is very heavy on a CPU so I am expecting a newer version of frostbite to be even more demanding.

I'm running a 4890 & still play BF2 Daily.
I'll be buying BF3 on day of release & I know I will be able to play it without even looking at no spec requirement crap.
It's not whether it will play it or not it's how high/low you have to have the ingame settings & whether you can game like that.
What CPU you running & how much ram as that will count as well.
I'm running a [email protected], 4Gig of Ram & the 4890 & will be expecting to play BF3 on Medium settings.
Once I have played it then & only then will I decide whether the game is worthy of an Upgrade. Remember we are dealing with EA here & the only decent game they ever released was/is BF2 & that took 18 months of moaning & patching before that got playable for Everybody. ( I've had no issues with BF2 from day 1 tho & like I said still play it daily now.)

4T5 i have 4Gig of ram i also play bf2 every day il just wait as you said see how game is when it comes out i was thinking of ati 5870
