Trying to connect three monitors to my graphics card, but can only get two working. Connecting them thru HDMI, DVI and VGA

Read about a DisplayPort™ connector but im so lost :(

Can someone gimme the answer to how i overcome this problem?

The monitors im using are 2x Packard bell 19" one of these is using a DVI adapter the other one is a 19" TV for which is going through HDMI

Cheers

The problem is that the DVI and HDMI 'share' the connection. What this means is that u cant use both DVI and the HDMI at the same time as one DVI shares the power of the HDMI. In order to connect a third output you need to use:

DVI, DVI + DP
or
DVI, HDMI + DP

You will need a DP adaptor for ur monitor if it doesnt have a DP connection - check here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18140392&highlight=username_creed

Cant do that.......The machine has one Dvi adapter, but im using a VGA adapter in the back of this to connect to my PB monitor. Then im using the VGA straight to the second PB monitor leaving me the HDMI only but as u said earlier i cannot use both cos DVI and HDMI share power and so fourth...so what do i buy or need ?

I misread the title earlier and thought u wrote 5770. Is this ur card - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-226-SP. Looking at the description it says it supports eyefinity but as it only has the three connectors and the DVI + HDMI are likely shared you may be a bit stuck. I would phone OCUK to ask.

If it cant support 3 monitors ur options are to either (1) buy a second card (any ATI pcie card should do the job) but only if ur motherboard has another spare PCIe slot or (2) if it's a new card, consider sending it back as it doesnt do what u thought and buy a 5770, although that is almost double the cost...

According to SAPPHIRE own site the 5500 series card do support eyefinity but that doesn't mean the card has the technology, I suggest you read the literature that came with the card and see if there's any mention of Eyefinity and how to get it setup but I suspect your going to be out of luck. All the Eyefinity setups I've seen all require a display port to be present I don’t see why this should be any different on your card.
