ATI 5770 dead?

I've only had this 5770 for a month and it had been working fine. However I installed Dragon Age the other day and noticed I was getting tearing and black squares whilst playing, even with latest catalyst drivers.

One morning I powered up the PC and got a blank screen so reseated graphics card and also tried resetting CMOS but no change, card simply is not detected by the system and doesn't show in device manager. So I'm stuck with the onboard graphics for now .

Do you think the card is dead or more likely a motherboard problem? Unfortunately I have no access to another gfx card or mobo to test it out.

Edit: forgot to mention the card does seem to power up (fan spins).

Almost certainly finished i'm afraid.Since it's fairly new hopefully you should get a direct replacement.
