As the tittle suggests would like thoughts on the difference between the two cards really. I am going to be ordering tomorrow and thought I would use the useful grey stuffs on this forum to help me out.

The price difference is 5 pound.

Oh I should have mentioned this at the start. The intention is to get another GPU either at christmas or next summer when I can afford it and run it in crossfire.

the motherboard of that build doesn't do crossfire symmetrically. it runs the second pci-e slot at a much reduced speed.

get the fastest single card option you can.

Ah ok, that explains a few things. Hmmm I think I will speak to the Ocuk guys tomorrow to see if swapping the mobo for another is possible then. (trying to future proof this as much as possible) So perhaps my 1st time build might be back on the cards :P

also gaming will feel smoother with the 460 even if you do crossfire because it will have higher minimum fps

for crossfire to be done right, you want a motherboard with either a 890GX or 890FX chipset, which will run the slots at 8X/8X and 16X/16X respectively.

or there are older motherboards without sata and USB3.0 that do it, 790GX/X/FX
