ati 5770 w7 crash problem

Hi,
I have an ati hd 5770 every so often when im streaming say off youtube it will crash to a black screen. After pressing Ctrl Alt Del it will slowly go to the w7 screen. Then I can move the cursor to restart. But surxur is really jumpy at that point. Last time it happened I tried going to task manager but didnt help. The screen kept going black and slightly back to task manager, so just turned off computer at main switch.

Any idea of reasons for this problem?

Specs are:
intel core i5 2.66GHz
gigabyte ga-p55-us3l
600W power supply.
4gb ram

Well I have a 5770 and thankfully ahven't had that problem, however can't install ccc 9.12. Perhaps uninstall all your ccc and try installing th elatest 9.12 hotfix? Personally due to my problems I went back and used the one from Asus's website which was flawless. Which brand card you got?

I saw another thread where they reinstalled the drivers to another directory and that worked.

However my personal thought would be to use the ones direct from the manufacturer until ati sort their issues out, which reading around are widespread.

ghost41 had a similiar issue on his thread resolved by installing to new directory.

i prob should but ive found out that turning off the hardware acceleration of the flash player works. its not crashed while playing videos for a few days now. Cheers for response. my card is xfx tho.
