ATI 5870 Question

Hi,

Is the XFX ATI Radeon HD 5870 XT Extreme Edition just an overclocked version of the normal XFX Radeon HD 5870?

yeah, not worth it as you could buy a cheaper standard clocked one and easily clock it past the xtreme editions clocks in CCC and save money too =] my 5870's are clocked at 900/1300

Just remember by overclocking a card you do lose warranty, the only real advantage to buying the pre overclocked card is that you don't have to do it yourself and you get to keep your warranty.

If you are an experienced gpu clocker, then definitely go for the stock models!
