ati 6870 temp

hey guys i need some help and i know most here are trusted


i bought a 6870 ATI ASUS card


it seeemed have temps of aroudn 30 C

on my normal game but now on the same game its been goign form 40 C to liek 70 C


idle 30-35C

i think maybe somthing is wrong i use the asus smart docter to watch the temps of my card
i havent Oc'd it

any help appreciated

my 6870 idles at about 45c with the default fan speed which i think is 23%. When gaming it goes to about 70c. Your temps seem perfectly normal. Your idle temp is low because of the higher fan speed.

What does op mean? "Seemed to have temps of around 30 C"?
you mean in the same game you used to have 30 C and now it's going up to 70?

It's nothing to worry about install a program to alter fan speeds and monitor temps properly. I doubt there's any card that'll stay 30C in game and idle (on reference )

These cards are safe anywhere upto 110C. I'd only worry if you have a single 6870 and it's reaching 85C.

i found the problem going down to my VMware when the game is open if i minimize the game on VMware it doesnt use any of my GPU up thus taking it to 70C
so now my gaming is all back to 30-40 C XD
