Hey guys, i currently run 2x GTX 460's in SLI, but recently 3-4 games i have are not optimised for SLI and its causing me more of a headache then a benefit.

So i'm looking at removing 1 of the cards and replacing it with a ATI 6970 2048 version and use the other GTX 460 as a Physx card.

Is this still possible, is it worth it and how do you do it?

Thanks.

No point getting a 6970 when you can unlock the 6950 2GB ref 1 for cheaper.

Hybrid physx is so simple to do. All you need is the hybrid physx 1.4 patch and away you go.

Still shocking though that nviidia's 'open platform' statement is complete and utter tosh!

Soc has loads of psu issues, even high quality enermax psus can't power it.

It may have a good cooler but the heat still needs getting rid of.
Personally I don't fancy summer night gaming sessions with one of them making my PC blow out crazy amounts of heat.

So i'm right in saying i just plug in the 2 cards like normal, download there corresponding drivers, download the physx patch and i'm sorted?

If so do updates to the drivers mean i'll have to wait for a hybrid patch?
