Hello Chaps,

Just a quick query here in regards to running an eyefinity set up on a ATI 6990.
Apologies if this sounds really dumb. I was reading an article on GURU3D and I may have confused myself here.

I have 3 samsung 2443bw's and it runs at the 5k x 1.2k reso.

So I came across this statement on GURU3d.
The card comes with four Display Port 1.2 connectors and one dual-link DVI connector. As stated you'll receive three converters for HDM and DVI amongst others. Once converted the DVI outputs will be single link, allowing monitor resolutions up-to 1920x1080 only.

And then I came across this later on.

Single monitor setup at 2560x1600
Dual monitor setup at 2560x1600 per monitor
Three monitors setup at 2560x1600 per monitor
Six monitors setup at 1920x1080 per monitor

Am I right in saying that I have no issues with my current monitor set up of 1900x1200 x 3 but if I so choose to go via 6 monitors I would need to buy 6 1080 monitors instead?

And I guess my final query would be that would you just recommend that I keep my 5970 and just wait for the next flagship 7 series which comes out soonish?

Thank you in advance if you can help me out on this query.

ta,
Sam
