ATI 7970 4 monitors?

i currently have 3 monitors (2xDVI, 1 DP). Will plugging in a 4th (HDMI) work?

As far as i am aware, most cards can only display two via DVi/HDMI, and you have used both on both HDMI.

Which 7970 do you have?

As long as you're using active adapters it should work fine

Should work, mine works using 4 displays. (i don't use eyefinity using the HDMI though) i just use the HDMI for my TV.

Whats an active adapter? I have a DVI+DP monitor so i would need a DVI>HDMi or DP>HDMI adapter.

If your monitor has a DP input and your card has a DP or mini-DP output, you don't need an active adaptor.

To connect a DP output to a DVI or HDMI input, you need an active adaptor, which is typically £15-25.

I have three monitors connected atm, 1 DP and 2 DVI. the only spare slot left on the GPU is an HDMI.
