ive running an AGP ATI 9550 at the mo (untill me new pc rebuild)

ive just bought a Hanns.G 19" widescreen from OC with the VGA and DVI imputs.

i was hoping to run the monitor dvi, leaving the vga for my xbox.

heres my problem if i boot normaly vga, then plug in the dvi, tell the gfx card in the latest ati catalys software to switch to dvi it does.

UNTILL i reboot, if ive just got the dvi in it posts, runs through the windows loading screen, then no display. but if i unplug the dvi and plug it back in again it come on. or if i had the vga cable in it would come on that way

how to i force my card to boot in dvi

any help would be grand

Is there not an Auto Detect or force detect setting on the driver settings?

Not sure if this is correct though may be a little mixed up.

Hope it is correct will do the job.
 
i cant find anywhere where i can force it in the driver.

ive just bought a 9800pro anyway to tide me over a bit better till i build me monster pc.

hopefully i can work out how to force that one to DVI
