what does this setting do in tray tools? there is option to enable Adaptive AA and set it to performance mode or quality mode?

what does it do and does anyone run it?

It reduces the amount of Anti Aliasing that is applied when the frame rate drops below a certain level ( I think it's around 40fps ).

I personally don't bother, but that's more down to laziness than a dislike for the feature, which, when I've used it, hasn't caused any problems.

so lets say i enabled this feature. and in a game i set AA to 4x, what would happen if the framerate dropped below 40fps? would aa be turned off or would it go to 2x?

Oops, I'm getting mixed up here.

Adaptive Anti-aliasing

Adaptive anti-aliasing is a technique that applies a combination of multi-sampling (MSAA) and super-sampling (SSAA) on 3D objects to improve edge smoothness and fine detail. This feature renders 3D objects containing transparencies more realistic, providing exceptional levels of image quality while maintaining performance.

Temporal Anti-Aliasing

Increases image quality without impacting performance by taking fewer image samples but at a faster rate.

I have absoulutely no idea what I was talking about earlier :o
