Ok got my X1950 XT working nicely now but with afew tiny faults i would like to fix...

1/ PC screen doesnt switch on whist booting until I put it into stand by mode and re awake the PC, really annoying.

2/ Once I do re awake the PC its in blood 640x480 this happens EVERY time I turn on or restart my PC. I think tis a problem with CRT's and ATi card as today i installed a 9600pro into my mates girlfriends PC and his does the same. When we took the computer around and hooked it up to her TFT the rez was at 1280x1024 (the correct resolution we set it at before setting off to her house)

They seem like really simple problems to fix, but are very annoying. Has anyone expericanced problems with ATi and CRT montiors and know how to fix this problem. I have a Hyundai ImageQuest Q995 if it helps anyone.

very odd...What I might do is in afew months (when new DX10 card are release and go down in price) i may sell my XT and get meself a nice Nvidia card...NEVER had any hastle with them, from Geforce 3 Ti200 to 7800GT all brill

well i really would like a fix, If i can get these problems sorted then I will be more than happy to stick with the card, great performance. Main hasstle is my dad, Hes not very good with PCs and dosent understand how to put it in stand by mode, it was a lot easier when i could just press the power button and it just load and be waiting for me to play it. The resolution problem is a bit of a pain aswell.

What i dont understand is that i have a 9800XT and never had problems with my monitor...it seems really random.

btw ive tried installing all the newest drivers for my monitor, no help at all.

Got the resolution problem sorted out, in the CCC just dragged active monitor into the somehwere in the Displays Manager, seems to have sorted it

Now just the annoying mystery of the montior and why it like to turn itself off at bootup...
