ATI Cap 9.1 now available

what sort of fps increases are people getting in bf3?

curious to see if i'll be able to run it in eyefinity with a decent frame rate at ok settings on a 5970 5870 combo :)
 
silly question but what do you actually do with these CAPS ? so you install them ,then what ?

i have the same setup, single screen @ 1080.

i have to turn AA off to stop the hard drive thrashing due to lack of vram, all other settings on ultra and getting 100-200 fps no matter what the scene.

All GFX cores are at 900.

No stuttering smooth as butter.

Your Jokin surely they cant make this much difference? Can anyone confirm?

cheers, so essentially AA ruins fps ridiculously on this game?

i'm running 6112x1200 at the mo, so doubt i'd get anywhere near ultra settings to be fair, but fps of around 80-odd would probably be ok for me.

i've got mine at 950/4880, wondering if i could push much further and would it be worth it when this comes out?

I'm running some AA (tried 2x and 4x so far) and that has not been the cause of stuttering for me. Firstly it was because I installed CAP profiles with 11.10 and shouldn't of done, and then Dice seemed to of sorted something on the server side because it ran fine last night.
 
Right well i've gone and installed the 11.9 along with the CAP and i'm getting less performance in BF3 from my 6950s.

GPU usage seems to be limited to 55% max compared to the 11.10 drivers which had both cards working 99%?

And that's with my cards having been overclocked more since, I was running at 840/1325 and now i'm at 900/1325
 
I moved from the 11.10 preview driver to 11.9 + CAP, bf3 seems about the same maybe a bit better but my flickering has gone from grid :)

Did you uninstall the 11.10 preview before you installed the 11.9 or just go straight over the top? You may have a conflict with CCC versions as the preview driver had a new CCC. Think it's best to unistall fully when going backwards with drivers/CCC versions.
 
Yep uninstalled everything AMD related

Its definitely a BF3 issue as Heaven uses 99% of both GPUs during the benchmark.
