Ati Card Upgrade

Hi It's been a while but its about time i upgraded my graphics card . I am currently running a Sapphire HD 2900 Pro 1024 mb card. I have a limited budget of £150 so i have been looking at the 1024mb nvidia 9800 GT series cards and The ATi 4850 series card would either of these cards be a significant upgrade or would i be best waiting till i can afford a higher card.

Current PC Spec is Asus P5Q Mobo, Intel QX6850 CPU, 8gb G-skill DDR 8500.

For £150 l would get this: Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4850 PCS Extreme 1024MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail

It will be quite of an upgrade. If you have 22" + monitor then the 1GB version will can in handy and if not it will be better for upcoming games. If you have a small screen the 512Mb version would do just as fine for less cash, too.

thanks thats great, Im always wary with mid range cards when ive previously had an higher end card. the 2900 still plays my most recent games cod4,5 and left 4 dead at full whack although I bet the rest of my system is compensating. im looking forward to trying crysis and farcry 2 but I feel that would be asking a little much of the 2900. LOL
