ATI Catalyst 6.6 out

The Prey demo worked for me with 6.6. But I got an error after 20 mins and got kicked back to windows.

Hmm, sounds like it is iffy then, think ill give it a miss for now then, don't fancy going back to the 6.5's for the sake of a demo.

BF2 is running stable and I thought I noticed a slight increase in IQ but could be my imagination.

Is that with your card overclocked?

Any else notice a huge dip in IQ from 6.5 with x1900XT.

Running battlefeild on max setting 1280x1024, temporal AA 6x, HQ Adaptive AA, HQ AF x16, HQ mipmap, advanced A.I.

And quite honsetly it looks crap. Even the 6.5 where not grate but looked better then this. Fog is just a white mess now zaggies all over the place, blocky textures at distance.

Think i am going stay clear until later. Happy with 6.5 atm and i dun know who to believe. Someone mentioned early that the IQ is better whereas Johny Boy says otherwise.

Maybe I'm being to harsh but my 6800GT looked better at medium with 2xaa and 4xaf in bf2. Maybe it's just my eyes getting used to it looking better and hence being harsher but......

well battlefield wont even run for me with either 6.5 or 6.6 cats when my card is overclocked which kinda sucks

Why would you need to oc for bf2?

I run with vsync and fps stays stable at around 75fps (my refresh rate) and you have a faster card.

i'm still using 6.3's with the chuck patch can any one confirm whether this is incorporated into any of the subsequent drivers

It isnt, the last chuck patch was the 6.5 one, they may do one for the 6.6's, who knows.
