~~~ ATI Catalyst 9.2 Drivers --- OUT! ~~~

Hmmm ATI and their drivers... My drivers seem to disappear and need re-installing, has happened the last two days in succession? Starting to wonder if the computer has a fault, but have had this problem since installing the card and finding the ATI drivers did not work without hot fixes.

Have ATI ever managed to produce a Windows verified driver? And would 9.2 be worth installing ? I currently have the 8,12 AGP hotfix.

Hmm seems very odd to me, all these people complaining about ATi drivers..since I switched over to my 4870x2 I've had....you've guessed it 0 problems, you have to wonder really :rolleyes:

+1 Never had ANY Problems.

And yes sastusbulbas, 9.1 and 9.2 have offered a good improvement over the 8.12s (which were also great drivers!).
 
just installed in vist64 didn't need to reboot they just worked 200 points extra in 3dmarks 06 now at 17350 with c2d @ 4.2ghz and 5 frames more in GTA4 benchmark @ 1900x1200 on a 1gig 4870 not a bad boost, but the ccc the display manager gives me this error if clicked upon "System.ArgumentException: Font 'Arial' does not support style 'Bold'. but does allow me to press continue and carry on. Temps have gone down from 24>21 idle and peak at 28 but this could be down to the water block has now been on for a week?
 
Has anyone else noticed that after Catalyst 9.2 update, the latest version of benchmark software: SiSoftware Sandra complaints during install that (AMD Stream Computing GPGPU 1.3 / Catayst 8.12 or later not detected. AMD GPGPU features will be unavailable.) and also if you install anyways, the GPGPU Processing and GPGPU Bandwidth benchmark module are grayed out, or is it just my setup???

Catalyst release 8.12 and 9.1 where working with SiSoftware Sandra with no problems.

Had SANDRA already installed and all is still ok with the 9.2's.
 
Come on guys post back & let the rest of us know whether to bother or not :D

Fear 2 has a crossfire profile now, also stuttering is completly gone now.
burnout paradise, the odd stutters are also gone from this game.

havent tested any other games yet but the drivers seem fine
the only issue im having is the drivers have returned the 2d/3d bug but this time instead of your main gpu 3dclocks enabling during bootup, its your slave GPU instead lol

thats why people are reporting odd temp increeses useing these 9.2s

you just run a 3d app or game then back out to reset them like before.

i will report more games when i get around to testing them
