Should have just stuck with the 9.3's, as the 9.4's and 5's are of no benefit, the 9.4's were only for the 4890's, and these 9.5's are going to be just for the 4770's by the sounds of it.
adding support to a new card doesn't mean absolutely nothing else changes in a driver set. Infact support for a new card starts and stops and the devide id's being recognised by the new drivers in general.
There would have been other changes, not least obvious because people have reported improvements and new problems with new drivers, a new device id in the config list won't be causing any of that.
Won't know if they are worth it till people try, not sure why people are saying they are out early, 3 months ago being after the half way mark of the month meant they were late, now before half way(just) they are early. Shockingly, sometimes the improvements they add will take a day, or 2 months to make work, so new drivers will sometimes be ready after 2 weeks or 6 weeks, who the hell cares. Do we have to be so anal about calling a set of drivers late or early based on what day of the month they arrive on?
Do we have to draw massive conclusions based on what card is out that month as to who the drivers are for and if they will be worth it.
Its the same thing every single month, its hilarious, if its late ATi aren't as reliable as Nvidia, if they are "early" they have too many problems and need to many new drivers so also suck.
It really doesn't matter if they provide 1 set a year, or 5000, people will simply complain anyway.
WE probably need a ban on the discussion of new drivers, and only allow threads where people with specific problems are looking for help, also delete all posts of "nvidia/ati drivers are best, the other guys suck".
