Seems quite a few people have had problems with CCC, swapping around drivers and CCC etc, Now it seems You can easily update but reinstalling older versions can be a problem which Safe mode and regcleaner and Driver cleaner will not fix
the Simple Fix..
Check add & remove programs for anything ATI after You have run their Uninstall all Utility...If anything remains You need to run Regedit and search for Catalyst, remove the whole Key and check through the whole registry
Then maybe run a regcleaner and install Your driver package
Seems some of the work-arounds like System restore etc..Just mess up windows uninstaller to the point of screwing any reinstall attempt...I found about 6 previous CCC reminents on My Games PC !
