Can anyone answer a quick question. I've downloaded the latest 10.10 drivers and then the 10.10a hotfix. Which do I install? Do I install just the hotfix, or do I install it over the top of the 10.10 package?

Cheers.

I just installed 10.10 (not 10.5a) over the top of 10.5 (with the app. profiles)

I've gained 13-15 fps in BFBC2 :D (5970 + 5870)

Well done AMD, about bloody time.

If you want the hotfix just install the hotfix, there's no need to install it over the top of anything.

I'm having a few issues installing 10.10, previously had 10.9, however the 10.10 installed but with errors, and the catalyst install manager didn't solve it with the repair function. Now it won't uninstall properly, the install manager has dissapeared, but the display driver is still loading coz im @ 1600x1050 still....

I don't want to use driver sweeper, anyone got any suggestions?

To be honest fellas, it's going take a lot to get me back to buying ati cards. My last one was an atix1950PRO in which I had nothing but BSODs. That ati2dvag bug, which ATI couldn't be arsed to fix. Waste of money!

My Bro had a x1950 Pro for 2 years and I don't think has ever had a graphics related Blue Screen :)
Repeated Blue screens are usually a sign of other stabilities or a faulty graphics card.

I had this problem a little while ago. In the end I reluctantly used driversweeper / cleaner which I never normally endorse for good reason, it can make things WORSE. In my situation it didn't completely solve the problem but it did manage to erase everything so when I re-booted into windows I simply let windows find the driver automatically for me. Bingo! All fine. :)

Be careful though with programs like the ones I mentioned, they would never normally be used unless a last resort.

It may pay you to wait to see if anyone else can make a better suggestion.

My HTPC/gaming pc has an HD5750 with 10.9 driver.

I was thinking of dowloading 10.10 but will I see much difference with 10.10a hotfix? It states HD6*** series cards so am I missing some point as to why HD5*** owners are downloading these?:)
