***ATI Catalyst™ 10.10 WHQL***

Seems uninstalling deleting the display driver via. device manager was the only way to remove it. It may be steams fault, it may not, but it was reporting 10.7 being the last version installed.

Running 10.10a here, so far so good ... and as usual I just installed over the previous ones.

The ONLY time I have had issues in the last year or so with installing ATI drivers is when I installed a beta driver at some point which totally screwed up the CCC windows install stuff, not the drivers themselves but the packaging ... had to get rid of CCC stuff and mess with manual install of drivers only and via the device area to put things right.

Right guys which one do I install the standard or the 'app' one?

And why?

The catalyst application profiles are different to the CCC suite or the display driver.

If you want the full works, install the CCC suite and the applications profiles if you use crossfire.

If not crossfire, ccc suite is enough.

I on the other hand dont bother with the ccc suite, and just install the display driver.

Hi,

for all of you who are having a pinkish, redish tint after install. I solved it by accident, do the following:

-go to ccc

-on the upper part of the window in ccc, there are two drop down menus. one on the left called "Graphics" and one on right part called "Options"

-clicking "Options" on far right you will see "Preferences" with "red gear" icon

-going on "Preferences" you will see couple of options, you click on bottom choice "Restore Factory Defaults ..."

-confirm and wait for it to restore its settings and voila

-enjoy

Hope this helps bye ppl)))))))))

Amd has their own support forums, yet people install, something doesn't work then run away back to the old build, then they visit this forum to tell people what they did.

Why not just spend 60 seconds skimming over amds support forum instead...

10.10 seems ok on a 5850 with Win 7 64. No issues to report so far, not even a pink tinge :( boring AMD/ATI drivers. Never give me nowt to moan about
