ATI Catalyst™ version 10.5 thread

When using more than one monitor a screen would flicker when the clocks where at idle so they boosted the clocks to stop the flickering, but it effects single monitor users who overclock.

the vsync issue is still there.

That's a pain. the only way i got vsync to work in bfc2.
Is once you choose a server and it loads up. just change your res to something else, apply it, then go back to the res you want to use, apply that, then go back and join the game.

Sorts it out ;) is a pain having to keep doing that every time you join a new server, but it stops that tearing :D

That happened to me, and the 10.5 beta fixed it. Only happened though when I used the overdrive tools to overclock the card. It was quite annoying, and for the extra idle temp, which wasn't a lot, I honestly didn't mind.

What ATI need to do, is split that part of the update into a hotfix, so those who don't suffer the multi monitor flicking can opt to not install this part, and hence keep the idle temps down..

ATI have always sucked with their drivers... I still remember the 9700 pro and the god awful drivers back then.... Card was as fast as anything, drivers ruined it... Seems somethings never change...

Same here. Put these right over 10.4a and no change in idle clock speeds or idle temps - I;m still at 36 idle and 41 under load :D

Can anyone confirm the driver revision I should have? When I installed on top it didn't work so now I definately have the correct catalyst version, but I'm not sure if the driver is the right one or an old one it reverted to when I uninstalled.

Mine is showing 8.732-100504a-099996C-ATI

is that the right one?

EDIT: google is my friend, it is the correct one.

Can confirm BC2 long loading times are back with 10.5, WTF are ATI playing at..

I'll see that for myself after work, but does it really matter considering the spawn time got increased which would mean you would join the server in time before the game started?

Yeah it does matter it was fixed and now they forgot to include it in the 10.5's, it's complete complacency.

From twitter..
