ATI Catalyst™ version 10.5 thread

I'm retracting my previous comment on installing over the previous driver. When I checked in the info center it still said 10.4 so I uninstalled and then installed the 10.5, and now it says 10.5 in the info center. Odd.

Sounds to me like your system is not as stable is you think it is....I've been installing various drivers over the top of old ones on dozens of machines for years and had nothing like that, not so much as a hiccup.
 
Never install drivers on top of drivers!

Its so unclean.... it may work, but, its less headached to just install the drivers properly.

Its so lazy to just install over pre-existing drivers, and you complain when you run in to problems!?
