ATI CCC - Cats 6.2 quick question

What services really need to run for these to operate correctly? Cause its silly how many its running at the moment, and me being a guy that loves his services down to a minimum, its a bit of a nightmare hehe

So i was hoping some ppl on the boards could tell me what parts of the CCC they have disabled

i've currently got running

CLI.exe
CLI.exe
CLI.exe (why three of these?)
ati2evxx.exe
ati2evxx.exe (again why two?)
Display.dll (which i never noticed with my nvidia card)

i've checked my start up, and only one instance of CLI.exe starts up, so why do 3 end up running?

also in services.msc i've noticed i got AtiSmartKey running, now i remember disabling this before then the overdrive panel no longer worked which i sorta need

just with nvidia i never even had 1 service running cause i could disable the control center and my overclocks in coolbits would still stick

so what can i safely disable without losing the overdrive panel and the aa/af stuff?

Many thanks

Yeah or use and old CP from a previous set, or ATi Tray Tools, no CCC, none of all those services, and no .NET, unless you want to use the CCC of course. :)

so if i uninstall the CCC then im not uninstalling any part of the driver itself am i? i mean they will still work just as they did before

if so i'll uninstall it and use ATi Tray Tools as suggested

Those are the ATI Hotkey Poller service. You can quite happily disable that in the services and it won't cause any bad effects:)

I think Creative and ATI driver teams have done a job-swap, Creative drivers are sweet now and ATi's have become total bloatware.

one quick question

tray.jpg

hmm that really doesnt look right lol :p

even the cores lower, it should be 625, what it always reported as in CCC with the overdrive panel

and even in the current memory speed, it should be 750 :/

bah, i like ati tray tho its nice on the old resources hehe
