ATi Crossfire - user views required

Hi,

I've currently got an x1800xl

Looking at going down the crossfire route (using my mastercard to buy a mastercard 8) )

Anybody got a mastercard/slave card set up already? If so, were you amazed, disappointed etc with the performance?

Hoping to get a dell 2405 at some point and crossfire seems to be the way forward to ensure fs2004 can be run maxed out.

Im sure some ppl aroudn here must have them, theres some threads over at Guru3D, and the DFi forums of users with Crossfire, could give you some ideas.

The new RD580 chipset is due now though, and the Crossfire performance on that is supposed to be cracking, a lot faster than SLi apparently.

That's what I'd heard too.

Typical of me buying a x1800xl a few weeks before the rd580 comes out.

I'm just hoping that the rd580s will help reduce the price of the x1800xts, so I won't be too disheartened...

Your not wrong there, ive only had my Crossfire mobo about 2 months, and already gona replace it with a the new chipset one.
