collegue at work has an Asus EAH3650 running Vista Media Centre. Having problems with de-interlacing keeps turning itself off though the tick-box says it's on. Have tried 8.10's and 8.11's with no change. Worked ok on his old x1550. Any ideas?
 
it's a fully fledged media center so I presume he wants to use the default MS player for tv etc.

Basic Quality
Use automatic deinterlacing not ticked means its on but you must choose the method with the slider below.

But why he cant use the Auto i dont know.

Hi, I'm the colleague zytok is talking about. Never had this problem before until I upgraded my gfx from an ATI X1550 -> ASUS ATI EAH3650 silent magic. It's very random one day it will be working perfectly, the next day de-interlacing is broke (as in it doesn't do any) and the PQ is terrible. Mess about with stuff and it somehow works again for a bit. Doesn't matter if on Auto or manually select setting on slider. Can't find any posts anywhere on subject, not sure if need to do a clean Vista Ultimate reinstall to clear out old hardware junk but don't want to go to the trouble only to find it isn't fixed ! Tried uninstalls, driver cleaner etc.
