Ati driver crash

Was playing assassins creed, and i got the your windows has recovered from a serious crash thing, and talks about the ati drivers, then after 2 mins of it screwing around i got a bsod and it restarted.

any idea's why this might be happening

was playing crysis with no problems the other day, using a 4870x2 and the drivers on the cd
 
Have you got the card overclocked because when I used to overclock my card too much it used to say similar- however I didnt have a BSOD..

If you have just turn the overclocking down a bit.
