ATI driver question...

when i got my X1800XT 512 i used cat 6.1 drivers and got 9200 3D05 points, then i upgraded to 6.4 and lost 1000 points on 3dmark 05 i scrubbed the os and went to omega 6.3 drivers as ive never tried them, my score stayed the same.

ive just upgraded my cpu from a venice 3000 to an opty 146 and clocked it to 2.7Ghz which gave me an extra 600 3d05 marks lol, must have had a bottleneck so now im at 8800 points and going back to the 6.1 drivers,

my question is, is there anyway to use the old contol center as opposed to the current CCC as quite frankly... i hate CCC, talk about over complicating things

erm, before i go sticking drivers in my system that are for an OS that doesnt comercially exist yet... how about a little information ?? what is it?

ah i understand, i went to the wrong ones, (firemv for vista) thought it was some new system i hadnt yet seen

bah, rolled back to 6.1`s and my 3d05 marks still the same at 8800. makes no sence... when i first installed the card i got 9200 3D05 marks, updated drivers and got 8200, updated cpu and got 8800, went back to original drivers and got 8800.
