Whenever I try to play the Company of Heroes tutorial, I get a BSOD saying that the ATI drivers have got stuck in an infinite loop
I'm using 6.12's.
I've tried clearing CMOS, running my CPU at stock, and the GFX card is at stock too.
Now I wanna try reinstalling the drivers (unless you have other suggestions?), but I've done that before on my previous computre and the catalyst control center stopped working... so this time I want to do it properly, how should I reinstall the drivers properly?
[edit: fixed now, see below]
Googlers, this is how I fixed the inifinite loop error:
Right click-mouse over My Computer
Properties
Hardware(Tab)
Device Manager(button)
Click [+] next to System devices
right-mouse on CPU to AGP Controller (or whatever your controller is called, mine was Intel something or other PCI controller)
Update Driver(button)
Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)
Next(button)
Select Don't search. I will choose the driver to install.
Next(button)
Select PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
Next(button)
Finish(button)
Reboot.
