Hi

I am planning to get a 8800GT on Monday.

I currently have the 2900Pro I was wondering what is the best way to strip out all of the ATI drivers so I have a fresh system when I install the 8800GT?

Thanks in advance.

Download a free program called driver cleaner and install. Then use ati uninstall tool in add remove programs. When your machine has restarted open driver cleaner and select ati and run it. I usually run ity through 2-3 times just to make sure. This should remove anything ati from your pc and have it ready for your new nvidia card.

Go to Add/Remove, remove your ATi drivers (dont reboot when it asks/says), then remove the CCC (if your using it), then shut down and swap cards, then switch on and boot into safe-mode, run Driver Cleaner Pro and select ATi to get rid of all left over traces and registry entries, then reboot normally, cancel the Found New Hardware Wizard that pops up, then install your Nvidia drivers.
