i it worth my time to update the ATI drivers for cata? its fine as it is 9.4 wondering if its any good to update it? or leave it where it is?

im at 1920 1080, 60hz.

I'd say why change it if everything is fine and dandy? :)

' If ' you do decide to investigate more recent drivers then you could try 10.4. I have found this driver to be very good.

Your using 9.4 catalysts on a 5770? (if the system in the sig is the one your talking about, although your sig is too big btw!)

This is why I question that:

Download ATI Catalyst 9.4 WHQL for Windows 7 and Vista 64-bit

Only Radeon HD2xxx, HD3xxx, and HD4xxx series desktop graphics cards are supported

For cataclysm, your best off upgrading to whatever driver is released at the same time as that will undoubtably have optimisations in that set for that particular game.

sure i will and thank you..i wasent sure if i was going to update or not..
also the card has a 23in phillips HD screen connected to it.

i am using cata 9.4 is what it came on the disc.. and it is a 5770

Then your mistaken mate as the 5770 cards aren't even a year old yet but those drivers are dated april 2009, making them vastly older than your graphics card lol. Your catalyst control centre or driver cd is talking out of its **** I'm affraid.

I think you always want to update to the latest drivers for your product, this way you make sure that you have the bugfixes that are out and probably get some driver optimalizations.
