ATI Drivers detecting display incorrectly

Evening all

I just received my LG 32LC3R LCD TV yesterday and spent a brief couple of hours last night trying to set it up. Seems like a good panel so far, but I'm having trouble getting the image size right through my Media Center 2005 box. I checked extensively before buying and know it is capable of 1360x768 1:1 via HDMI

It's connected via HMDI -> DVI through an ATI X800XL graphics card. I set the resolution to 1360 x 768 but the image on screen was very slightly overlapping - i.e the very left edge of the start button wasn't visible and similar on the right hand side.

I checked the ATI catalyst drivers, and the setting 'scale image to fit panel' was checked. When I unchecked this the image shrank down to fill about 2/3 of the screen, with a black border around it.

It is definitely outputting 1360 x 768, but I'm not sure if the problem is one with the TV or the ATI drivers. One thing that seems wrong is the ATI drivers are picking up the TV as a 32LC3R-ZJ, not a 32LC3R. I'm not sure what native resolution a 32LC3R-ZJ has, but ATI think it is 1920x1080 (or similar, im not at my PC now). When I set the resolution to 1920x1080 the image is obviously too large for the screen.

I have tried various versions of catalysts, as well as omegas and they all do the same thing

Is it possible to somehow force the ATI driver to recognise my TV correctly, or edit the entry for a 32LC3R-ZJ to make it think that it's native resolution is 1366x768?? Or am I completely off track here?

Cheers
