Slightly out of the loop on the driver side :o Which Catalyst do people in here use for XP systems? Is CCC still hell?

with X1800 series cards is it a case of simply grabbing the latest XP driver from ATI, or is it like in the old days when some drivers where better than others?
Are Omega still better for overclocking purposes?

Thanks :o

the latest version is 7.4 and they've added a new CCC which uses less resources. As for the omegas there still on 7.1 i think but not sure if there any better than the standard ATi ones :)

Thanks for those replies. Before it was the case of just the driver and ATI Tray Tools as CCC was rubbish. You are saying the new is good enough to be used? :)

Dunno never used it i use ATi Tray Tools but CCC has been improved dont know if its useable tho best off waiting for someone to reply who has used it :)

i'm currently on 7.3's with CCC, its not as bad as people say it is, although if the AVIVO was available when not using CCC, i'd probably go for that. :)

need to upgrade to 7.4's at some point.
