I've just updated my ATI drivers/CCC to 10.8 and now my mouse keeps disappearing while in motion. If it move my mouse over the buttons in the bottom right corner of firefox (ABP/GM/NS buttons) the mouse will vanish unless it stays still for a few milliseconds. Its happening on a few other things like chessmaster too. Any ideas?

My card is a Sapphire HD3870.

I think the version I just updated from was 9.7.

Just realised the problem is always there in the bottom right corner on both monitors, no matter what application i'm on or even just the desktop.

give a full uninstall and reinstall a try:

1. Uninstall ATI drivers from control panel and restart when prompted.
2. Boot up and hit F8 just before windows login (can be pressed repeatedly) and select safe mode.
3. Run DriverSweeper to remove all ATI files, reboot when promted.
4. Run the installer for Catalyst 10.8, when prompted reboot.

I'm pretty sure this is either a Windows 7, or ATi driver issue, it sounds similar to the mouse cursor corruption I keep getting.

Just done that. Didn't solve the problem though. The problem was fixed after uninstalling the ATI drivers but reappeared once 10.8 was re-installed. I think i'll roll back to 9.6 which worked fine for now until ATI fix this bug.
