hi all

finally got my new gear up and runnimg, but cannot figure out how to get my hd2600 to run in hd 1080p mode. may sound like a stupid question, but so far i have only been able to find the standard resolutions.

anyone got any advice?

does that merely provide a better picture quality ord oes it allow you to select different options for display resolutions?

HDMI allows the graphics card and TV to work as one HDCP compliant unit, and is the standard adopted by the manufacturers to carry HD resolution signals.

Its also a digital signal rather than (as with your DVI>VGA adapter) a digital > analogue > digital signal.
