ATI n00b:What drivers to use for Connect3D X1900XT?

Just got a Connect 3D ATI X1900XT delivered from a top fella here in the MM.

This is my first ATI card, up till now I've always had Nvidia stuff so I have no idea about drivers for this thing.

It came without a drivers CD, so I'm wondering where to go and what to get for it driver wise?.

What's the best driver to download for this?.

I'm sat here waiting for OcUK to deliver my new mobo/RAM/PSU and will be building this system up later this morning, delivery permitting. :D

Also, my monitor is a 19" widescreen TFT 251059NSOTG Octigen monitor. It has the standard VGA lead on it but the X1900XT has what I am assuming are DVI connectors on it. So what type of adaptor do I need to couple this up to my monitor?.

Cheers in advance of any assistance.

Drivers
Go there for drivers ^^^.

And about the whole DVI > VGA adapter I got an adapter with my X1950XT. Have you checked to see if there is one in the box? :)

No m8, there's nothing else, just the bare card as it was used and I bought it from a fella here in the members market so no extras at all, just the card.

Any ideas what version of drivers to get from ATI?.

Are there some better suited to slightly older cards like the X1900XT or am I just as well going for the latest drivers available?.

*EDIT* Through Google, I found a thread on another forum where it seems to be suggested that the 6.2 drivers are optimised for the X1900XT range, would that be right or should I just grab the very latest ATI drivers I can get?

Oh....and I'm running Vista 32-bit if that makes any difference?. Like I said, complete ATI n00b here!!!

Yeah, I'm thinking that too. Will do.

Next question, again, being an Nvidia owner previously, I'm a bit confused about this Catalyst Software Suite thingy?.

Should I download the full software suite or just the drivers themselves?.

Download the suite.

Which ever. The full suite does give you ATIs overclocking tools and configuration panel. The drivers are just that, the drivers :).

I normally go for the full setup.

Cheers guys.

Also, on the X1900XT, there are two DVI connections. One has a little square box with a sort of squiggly arrow going through it, its the one at the bottom ( nearest the motherboard). There's another one above it.

What one should the monitor be connected up to or does it not matter?.
