I remember a few years ago I was always reading ATI was always ratted to have better images quality and im just wondering if this is the same even now or has nvidia finally pushed there IQ to ATI standers?

Yup, the 8800GTS and 8800GTX apparently have better image quality than any card out at the moment. ATI hands down when comparing any cards from the previous generation though.

^^ 16xAA does help a lot, but the AA is better than ATI atm.

But can't really compare till R600 :)

Aye, it's true. Comparing X1900 and 8800 image quality is really apples and oranges as they're entirely different generations. Hopefully Nvidia will actually be able to compete in the IQ department this time around as I'm getting bored of buying ATI hardware time and time again.

well i never really noticed IQ in any card, though with the X1*** series i loved there anti-aliasing, was so crisp, far better than NVIDIAs, i think when R600 arrives ATIs IQ will proberbly beat G80, not by much, but a little, the specifications, my god is monsterous
