Ive currently got a zotac 8800GT on order but im still waitin on it, OCuk have giving me the chance to swap to an instock item but theres still not much in stock with it been xmas and such but while i was lookin thru i came across

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-145-AS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=416

im not the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to gfx cards so i'd like to know what you guys think out of that ati or zotac 8800GT (keep in mind ive got zotac already on order)

my mobo (thats on order too) is
Asus Maximus Formula Intel X38 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

i know thats a crossfire board but i wont be going dual gfx cards for a while yet and by then i'll prob have replaced the mobo as i was going to go for SLI (in year or so)

hope you all had a good xmas (sorry bout the essay i know you dont wanna read a lot with xmas hangovers and such lol)

Happy new year too

Today it would only be Nvidia if you want the best performance and dont care it cost more.

Wait on that GT or get another GT or stretch to a new GTS 512, you wont regret it. :)

yeah ive been lookin at both the GTS & GTX im not too bothered about paying abit extra..
max budget of around £245 - £260 (if really worth it)

the gfx card is only thing holding back my full new custom build that i ordered on 9th dec so you can imagin i just want to get it up!!

The GTX hardly trashes the GT :p

Its faster yea but its all pretty marginal in the grand scale of things. If you want bang for buck it has to be the 8800GT right now.

Nvidia still seem ahead of ATI right now, i'd stick with what you got tbh

lol, i dont mind payin the bit extra for the GTX even is theres only a little differance as i wont be waitin to get my full custom pc order (GT order is holdin it back due to out of stock) they said they wont mind if i swap the card to an in stock card so i was thinkin i might aswell go for it as ive waited bout 3 n half week now!!

think im going to go with the GTX
