ati or nvidia ????

right i have £300 bad boys for new card . i am a big fan of nvidia.but could go ati if there is a better card .

i run two screens one 20 inch tft monitor @ 1680 by 1050

and 2nd monitor is my 32 inch lcd tv @ 1920 by 1080

be nice to get one not to loud as run films on tv and i do play a lot of games /music production

I'm going to go out on a limb here, but since you've got a suitable motherboard and PSU already going Crossfire or SLI would make sense. £300 will get you a pair of pre-overclocked Radeon 6850s (like these) and there's no single card for that price that offers anything like the same performance.

I would get the 480 at that price .. best performance at that price range and will save you some money for other updates.. If your case is good and you have some extra fans in it, it should be fine... BTW what case and cooling do you have right now ? some pictures may help too ..

the card i have at mo ... one of the dvi port has gone only had it about a 1&1\2 years
