Hi. Just had a first look at my CCC for my HIS HD 4870 1GB. I've unlocked the buttons on the ATI Overdrive panel. At the top it's set to 750MHz gpu clock, and 900MHz memory clock and I'm not going to move those, I'm just going to leave at stock speeds. But at the bottom it says current value 500MHz for gpu clock. How come it doesn't say 750MHz as well? I haven't tested any games yet but at the moment it says temperature 52C, that's good for this card right?

Also, I've read about people changing fan speed by percentages like 30% or whatever to run the fan faster or slower, where do I do that? There doesn't seem to be a button to adjust, but no doubt I've just overlooked it somewhere?

The clocks at the bottom are in 2d mode so they are lower than the actual clocks. Run a 3d applications like a game and see what they change to.

Thanks Ross. And about fan speed control, I've tried to find out about it on google, something about no manual fan control if there's only 2 wires from fan? Does the 4870 only have 2 wires? Also, no mention of my specific card, just says 4800 series. Also, phew! :D my cat version from HIS disk is 09.5 if that helps? Should I be updating it?

Thanks, yeah, downloaded it just before I saw your post. ;)
Looks identical, no changes, no fan speed control. I do currently own the blue akasa vortexx gpu cooler which I bought from OC and haven't installed yet which I will later, nevertheless, it would be nice to see if there's a fan control for stock cooler.
