Guys, I have just read the following from a thread on another forum:
"I basically spent an entire afternoon trying to get Company Of Heroes to work with the 6.12's with no success. The only way I can get AA working is to install driver 6.11 or older. The brand-new 7.1's don't work either. I read a "review" of the 6.12's, and one site reported a "HUGE" gain in COH with AA enabled over the 6.11's. Something tells me AA wasn't enabled in this benchmark at all, especially since ATi hansn't mentioned any performance gains in COH in any of the later driver releases. AA seems to be working fine in all other games I play."
This is very interesting!, as it re-iterates that a lot of problems (Iam not saying all) with the game instability, and ATi cards seems to be the drivers. I own a X1950pro (AGP) and don't know if the older Cats 6.11 (Nov06) fully support my card. Can anyone shed light on this matter?, as it was only released in December!. I will roll back the drivers tonight to the 6.11's when I get home, and keep you posted!. I would be interested to hear other ATi owners views on the matter, and start to gather information on any changes, or successes they may have encountered in the game, by going back to an older driver release. (6.11's or older) I am not saying this is a fix, but it will definately allow ATi users with more powerfull cards to set AA on as they require. I look forward to hearing your comments on this common matter!
